Previous studies have found that exercise along with diet and medication is beneficial for individuals with type 2 diabetes. In particular, exercise can help prevent, delay, or treat complications due to type 2 diabetes such as heart disease, high blood pressure, and hyperlipidemia. Other studies have also found that physical activity helps prevent the onset of type 2 diabetes.
